“Esta Es Mi CAsa”
S/S 2025 Collection
“Esta Es Mi Casa” (This Is My Home) is an intimate exploration of what it means to be Mexican in today’s America. In a critical moment in history, this collection stands as a powerful statement against the mass deportations and the heartbreaking separation of Latino families across the United States.
Denim is More than just a Garment, it is a Movement!
Denim is More than just a Garment, it is a Movement!
As an all-denim collection, “Esta Es Mi Casa” draws upon the symbol of the workwear garment that has long been worn by Mexican-American workers in some of the country’s most challenging and essential fields—whether as construction laborers, landscapers, carpenters, or farmworkers. Denim has served as both armor and identity for generations of Mexican immigrants, offering protection, resilience, and strength. Through this collection, we celebrate this humble garment, not just as clothing, but as a shield—one that has been, and continues to be, a testament to the unwavering spirit of the Mexican immigrant community.

The Chicano Movement 1960’s-1970’s
In response to the growing anti-immigration sentiment, particularly affecting the Latinx community in the United States, I set out to create a platform that both amplifies my work and uplifts my community. This led to the production of my own fashion magazine, which serves as an exploration of themes central to my collection: gentrification, anti-immigration, and cultural celebration. Through this project, I have been able to express the ways my designs reflected, honored, and supported my culture, while sparking meaningful dialogue. This collection is not only an expression of style but also a statement of identity, resilience, and community empowerment.

Esta es Mi Casa — the magazine created alongside my fashion collection — was introduced to audiences through a promotional reel showcasing the full collection. This first-look video reached over 2,000 viewers on Instagram (@fashion.by.lorenaa), generating early interest and engagement.
In the lead-up to the magazine launch, I produced a second promo video on the streets of Pilsen, highlighting the Latinx community’s ongoing resistance to gentrification and teasing the magazine’s featured content. This video resonated deeply with viewers, reaching over 30,000+ viewers and continuing to grow, reflecting both community support and the wider impact of the project.

It highlights Latino communities in Chicago, such as La Villita and Pilsen, as well as the flourishing and growing Latino-owned businesses that are helping reshape Latinidad in America here in my hometown of Chicago.
It highlights important historical milestones for many Latino workers, such as the United Farm Workers (UFW), and prominent figures such as Dolores Huerta, who were pivotal to the representation of Latinos in America, further explaining the overall essence and inspiration behind the collection “Esta Es Mi Casa.”
